The Trakker KT2000 is perfect for light ATV and shop use, and is the highest performing 2,000-pound winch in its price range. The KT2000 has a pendant-style hand-held remote that is perfect for operating snow plows or to safely stand away from the winch while in use. The side-mounted drum design keeps the footprint down and is a snap to mount where space is limited. A Hand Saver Strap attaches to the winch's hook, making it easy to manually pay out the wire rope when the freespool clutch is engaged.
Strength and Safety to Get the Job Done

The KT2000 is equipped with 50 feet of durable 5/32" aircraft-grade galvanized wire rope. A one- horsepower 12-volt DC motor and all-metal planetary gear train provide excellent pulling speed and power. The dynamic braking system is designed to stop and hold the fully loaded cable, keeping it where you need it until you are ready to move again. The KT2000 also has a built-in circuit breaker, protecting the winch and your equipment if a voltage change or short circuit should occur. Color-coded wiring and detailed instructions make do-it-yourself installation easy.
How to choose a winch
Choose a winch model with a capacity that is at least 1.5 times the weight of the vehicle you plan to pull. This assumes a rolling wheeled vehicle, in good condition, on a hard, flat, level surface. If you plan to drag a non-rolling load, choose a winch with at least twice the weight capacity. This will ensure that you will always be able to move the load, and guarantees a long life for your winch.
